worshipful musiciTickets.com gives away one or two songs every week. I’ve been collecting them for a few years (and now have about 5 days worth of free songs!), but have never came across one as unusual as what they’re giving away now.

The free song this week comes from an album called A Closer Walk. Nothing unusual about that. Sherry Anne is the name of the artist, again nothing to make one sit up and take notice.

What did get my attention is this description:

A song of praise written by hearing and speech impaired artist, Sherry Anne. Based on Psalm 96:1 (“Sing unto the Lord a new song”), this song can be sung by churches, choirs and/or solo artists for worship.

Excuse me, “SAY WHAT?” Somehow in my mind ‘hearing and speech impaired’ doesn’t jive with a singing artist.

But then I got to thinking about the whole worship thing: God doesn’t demand we be perfect to worship or sing. In fact, I recall a passage in the Bible talking about the rocks and the trees crying out to Him. So it’s perfectly natural to Him for everything to sing to Him. Bless her heart!

If this makes you curious, or you just want a free Christian song every week, visit iTickets.com free music download. Sherry’s song will only be up there until Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015. Then on Wednesday another artist will be featured.
