Earlier in the week at the FamilySearch Blog, I read about a free website (findmypast collaborated with WDYTYA creators to create the site) where you collect all the information you know about your family, and add all your photos.

It then integrates your family information with “historical trivia, trends and contextualizing anecdotes” 1 and produces a customized “Who Do You Think You Are?” video, just for you.

Pretty cool sounding, huh? I’ve been trying to find time all week to build one, but alas, there haven’t been enough hours in the day to accomplish what I need to, let alone what I want to.

So I’m throwing this up here, in hopes that someone else will have the time, and can post a link to their totally customized WDYTYA video. Here’s a sample:

The really exciting news though, is that FamilySearch plans to integrate this feature with their trees some time in the near future. 2 Then we probably won’t have to scramble hither and yon for all our names, dates, events, places, photos, etc.

Think how much has changed in the last decade with genealogy research. What will it be like in another five years? What other exciting things will we be able to do with our genealogy data? I can’t wait to find out!
